Got Junk NC
Privacy Policy
In effect since September 10, 2026.
1.The short version
We collect what you type into our quote form, and nothing else. This site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no session recording. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. If you want what we hold about you deleted, call or text (704) 443-8697 and ask.
One thing on this site loads from another company: the map of our service area. That is explained in section 6.
2.What we collect
The quote form. When you fill in the form on our quote page (or the same form on any other page), we collect exactly these fields:
- Your name — required.
- Your email address — required. It is where we reply.
- Your phone number — optional. Leave it blank and we will answer by email instead.
- Your city — required, chosen from a list of the towns we cover.
- What you need done — required, chosen from our list of services.
- A description of the job — required, in your own words.
We do not ask for your street address on this site, and there is no file or photo upload anywhere on it. You tell us the address when we speak.
Server logs. Our website host keeps standard request logs for every visit — your IP address, your browser type, the page you asked for, and the time. That happens on every website; it is how a host keeps a site running and blocks abuse. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.
That is the whole list. There is no account to create, no newsletter signup, no database of visitors, and no tracking of which pages you looked at.
3.Why we collect it
To quote your job and get back to you about it. That is the only reason. Your name and email let us reply, your city and service type let us tell you whether we cover you and roughly what it costs, and your description lets us price it properly instead of guessing.
We do not use anything you send us for advertising, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
5.Who else handles your information
We are a small local business and we do not run our own servers. These are the companies involved in this website working, what each one receives, and where:
| Company | What they do | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Website hosting and deliveryEvery page | Standard server request logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — kept by the host for operational and security purposes. |
| Resend | Email delivery for the quote formThe quote form, wherever it appears | Everything typed into the quote form: name, email, phone if given, city, service type, and the job description. Passed through to the business inbox. |
| OpenStreetMap Foundation | Map tile images for the interactive service-area mapHomepage and the service areas page only | The visitor's IP address and browser user agent, sent to tile.openstreetmap.org when the map loads. |
Each of these companies has its own privacy policy covering what it does with what it receives. We do not give any of them permission to use your information for their own advertising.
6.Maps on this site
The interactive service-area map on our homepage and service areas page draws its map images from OpenStreetMap, a non-profit mapping project. When that map loads, your IP address and browser details go to OpenStreetMap’s servers, because that is how it fetches the images. It sets no cookies and does not track you across sites.
That is the only third party on this entire website, and it appears on two pages. Our town pages, service pages, pricing, reviews, about and quote pages contact nobody at all — not us, not anyone.
We used to embed a Google map on each of our 15 town pages. It looked fine, but it meant every visitor to those pages was handed to six different Google services, which could set their own cookies in your browser. It was decorative — the same information is in the text on those pages, and the map above covers the whole area. So we removed it. This is the kind of thing most websites never mention; we would rather just not do it.
7.Calling and texting us
Our phone number, (704) 443-8697, takes calls and texts on the same line. If you text us photos of your job — which is the fastest way to get a firm price — we keep those photos and your number so we can quote the work and do it.
Standard message and data rates from your carrier apply. We do not control those; they are between you and your phone company.
We do not send marketing texts. If you text us, we text you back about your job. You will not be added to a list, and you will not get promotional messages from us.
8.How long we keep things
Quote requests arrive as email in our business inbox and stay there as part of our ordinary business records, along with the texts and photos you send us. There is no separate customer database on this website — nothing you submit is stored on the site itself.
Server logs are kept by our website host on its own schedule for security and troubleshooting, and then removed. We do not keep a separate copy.
If you would rather we did not keep your information once your job is finished, ask us and we will delete it.
10.Deleting your information
Call or text (704) 443-8697 and tell us you want your information deleted. We will delete the quote request, the messages, and any photos you sent, unless we are required to keep a record of the work for tax or legal reasons.
You can also ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you. You do not need a special form or a legal reason — just ask.
11.Children
This site is meant for adults arranging junk removal. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, call or text (704) 443-8697 and we will delete it.
12.Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles information — if we ever add analytics, a booking tool, or anything else that collects more than it does today — we will update this page before that change goes live, and we will update the date at the top of it.
The version on this page is always the one currently in effect. We do not keep an archive of old versions, so if a change matters to you, ask us about it.
13.Contact us
Got Junk NC is a service-area business based in Greenville, North Carolina, working across eastern North Carolina. Questions about privacy, or a request to delete your information, go to the same place everything else does:
Call or text (704) 443-8697 — the same number for both.
This policy is governed by the laws of North Carolina.
Questions about any of this?
Call or text us and ask. We’d rather answer a question up front than have you find out something on the day.
